Does this child need a backyard?

While on our latest visit to the Oregon Coast, Bridger showed no reservations about experiencing the outdoors. This is just a taste of his behavior. It seems that he literally tries to get as much of it as he can while we are around it.

Sister, Sister!

This past week we were able to have my sister, Angela, visit from Arizona. We hiked up Multnoma falls, enjoyed a little R & R, and explored some fun Portland sights. Thanks for your help and your extra pair of hands!

Newlyweds!

I need to spend a moment playing catch up. Earlier this month, we traveled to Maryland to add another branch to the family tree. Jim's Mom, Nancy got married to Harold Cyr.

Our new step family (from left to right): Mel, Bridger, Jim, Audrey, Nancy, Harold, Joey, Brian, Angie & Fred.

Momma Nancy & Mel right before the wedding.

We had a great time in Ocean City and Assateague Island. Bridger loved the beach & sand. There was awesome sunny weather for us all week!

On Assateague Island, there are wild horses that roam the beaches. Behind us is a group riding horses (not wild) on the beach. So picturesque!

My Addiction

I confess, I think I'm addicted to running. It has gotten to the point that I plan my vacation around my long run.

Last week my mom got married in Maryland (more on that once the pictures come back from Arizona with Mel and Bridger). Since she lives less than 10 miles from the beach, we spent all our free-time there. I managed to squeeze in a 7 mile and 16 mile run on Assateague Island.

Here is a list of my top 5 favorite places to run so far:
1) Assateague Island, Maryland
2) Redwood Forest of Northern California
3) Forest Park, Portland Oregon
4) Portland Waterfront / Springwater Corridor
5) Lake Oswego Lake Run loop

Here are 6 places I'd like to run but haven't yet:
1) Mayon Volcano, Philippines
2) Yosemite National Park
3) Arches National Park
4) Olympic National Park
5) Anywhere in Hawaii
6) Cancun
