Guess what game these cousins are playing...

A.) Follow the leader
B.) Simon Says
C.) Head, shoulders, knees & toes
D.) All of the above.
E.) None of the above; I am just doing all I can to try to get a 2 year old and 3 year old to look at the camera and smile at the same time.

4 months old

Last week we were in Arizona to bid farewell to my brother, Sam, who enters the MTC today. He will be serving a mission in Alaska for the next 2 years. We also took the opportunity to finally blessing Kacy while we were all together.

We had such a great time in AZ. More to come on the trip later...
Four Month Old Stats for Kacy:
Weight: 12 lbs, 14 oz (35%) - (Bridger was 16 lbs at this age. Kacy is staying a baby for us this time around)
Height: 24 1/2 in (60%)
Head: 41 1/2 cm (65%)

Cali!

Allow me to describe our quick trip to Sacramento: drive down Friday, recover Saturday, and drive home Sunday. Yup, about 11 hours each way with kids in tow. They were actually great little travelers. I just can't stand knowing my parents and siblings are within a 12 mile radius and me not being apart of the action.

Despite this look, Kacy really is fond of her grandpa.

Hanging out at my uncle's mansion/house (previously occupied by Chris Webber and Tyra Banks).
Snapping shots of my babe-a-licious sister. Some people seem to think we look alike... :)
Visiting my grandpa for most likely the last time... My brother, Sam, is leaving to serve a mission in Alaska this month - another reason I felt the pull to make the wirlwind trip.
And enjoying some sweet sunshine with my grandma! Jim relieved her lemon tree of some of its fruit. Anyone have a suggestion on what to do with 20 lbs of lemons? We already have had some great lemonade, but I feel like I should be more creative than that.

We missed you Steve & Lori, but are glad we get to see you next week in AZ! Yay!

Our happy little girl...

As I look at the pictures I take, overall I certainly get more shots of Bridger than I do Kacy. This is probably due to the fact that B is so hilarious right now and never holds still. However, we do love our Kacy. She is so good natured, happy and cute. I just have not been good at taking monthly photo shoots of her doing nothing like I did with Bridger.

Today I can't help but show off a little of this...

And this...
I always get the question "Who does she look like?" and to tell you the truth I have a hard time seeing parental resemblances in my own children. Probably because I see them everyday and I think that they look like themselves. However, as I was going through some old pictures I couldn't help by compare this picture of Kacy at 3 months old:
with this picture of Bridger at 3 months old:
Okay, okay, I think I finally might see some similarities here. What do you think?

Spring!

I am using this post to do a little bit of catch up. In April we celebrated my birthday. Jim thinks it is hilarious that my family has a tendency to celebrate a birth week, if not a whole birth month. Rather, anything fun you do that week or month is always justified by being "For your birthday..." I admit it is not always great on the budget, but it makes you feel special.

This is the cute cake my Visiting Teachers brought over for me. Thanks Mia & Margaret! This if the first birthday that I actually feel like I am older. I think the past 8 birthdays I have felt the same as I did when I turned 17. However, this time I feel like I am finally feeling around my age. Having two small kids and being a stay at home wife probably has something to do with that.

For my birthday my sweet hubby gave me a great treat of extending his lunch break for the day and joining us (in the middle of a busy work week) for a picnic and a trip to Portland's Japanese Gardens.
This was our first time going and we really enjoyed it.

Note to our LO friends: We used the FREE day pass from the Library! Try it! Just call the Circ desk and see if it is available the day you want to go. Who can resist FREE?!
We also visited the Woodburn Tulip Festival "for my birthday/week". This is Bridger being excited that we finally get to ride the "Train!" It was actually the free shuttle they had running from one end of the tulip fields to the other. We were to cheap to spring for the kiddy ride train, so we got him excited about riding on the free shuttle instead.
Kacy sporting daddy's hat.
As was our experience last year, the tulips were really a sight to see. Gorgeous colors! Gorgeous day! Glad we went!

One of these past spring Sundays we woke up early enough to realize it was a nice day outside and had enough time to walk to church (and still be on time - pretty good for us).
In other events, Bridger had an incident where he bit his lip and was bleeding quite a bit. We recently discovered "Ban-naids" (Band aids) and we now seem to think that ban-naids will fix all our owies
My burrito babies:
I was swaddling K for her nap, and B did not want to miss out, so he got his blanket & pacifier and told me he was ready for "nuggles". So cute!
