Bridger's Room 2.0

While my mom was in town, she was nice enough to do some more work on Bridger's room. She started the Mt. Hood mural in June right after we moved in. It is quickly becoming the favorite room in the house.

Before her visit:
After!
The new wall features a scene of the Columbia River Gorge. She went off pictures we took while hiking Dog Mountain. She added a hiking path, that Bridger pretends to hike along (he walks around in circles).
Bridger trying to touch the top of the mountain. Mom also added a wild flower filled meadow to the Mt. Hood wall. It looks awesome and makes me smile every time I see it. My mom is so talented! Thanks Mom! We love it!

Two Little Monkeys

I was in the process of changing Kacy's sheets and heard Kacy cracking up. I look in her bed and this is what I find:

They were doing this (jumping/laughing) for half an hour straight. Yes, Bridger climbed into her crib. And yes, Kacy pulled herself up in this standing position. She is becoming quite the upward climber. At least she hasn't figured out the stairs yet.

Kacy loves her big brother!

It's always fun for everyone

It's always fun when Grandpa & Grandma come for a visit.
On this occasion, we managed to get them both here to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We were excited to show a little of Oregon off during the nice summer, rather than the dead of winter when we seem to have our babies.

These are all out of order chronologically, but you can tell we had some fun! Above: we attended a dress up birthday party for one of B's friends. Below: 3 generations!

Kacy loves snuggling up to grandma.

Hop on Pop!

The menfolk took a ride down Mt. Hood on the bikes. Bridger REALLY wanted to go too.

Enjoying the view at Timothy Lake

Hiking around Mt. Hood.

We went to Champoeg State Park for a bike ride: my parents rode our bikes, I was on Rollerblades, and Jim was at work... sorry babe!

Grandma on a bike! And having fun!

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday all week, but made sure to embarrass him at a restaurant. Here he is contemplating his upcoming year...

Giggles with Grandpa:

Hanging out at the waterfront in Portland.
What a treat for everyone when Grandma & Grandpa come!

Bridger keeps asking if we can go to the airport to get Grandpa and Grandma from the airport. I think he believes they are just flying above our heads in an airplane, waiting for the next time we can go pick them up.

Thanks for a fun visit!

State Fair

Lately we have been keeping ourselves busy enjoying summer, playing games with friends, potty training and cheering on BYU as they upset Oklahoma. Did you see their ranking today? Go Cougars!

Last week we did make it to the Oregon State Fair with a large group of friends (parents and kids totaled 28 or so).
Bridger and Jim got to be a part of a professional circus.
Bridger was the most adorable snow leopard I have ever seen. He wasn't the best at following directions and was referred to as "a wild animal" by the ring master because he climbed on and off the stage as he saw fit.
Below, he is sitting and watching the clowns with a few of his girlfriends - Leah, Katie and Claire.
Jim made an appearance as "Punjab" the strongest man in the world. However, he must have had an off day because he needed some assistance from this little guy to finish his 1000 lb clean and jerk. And yes, we brought Jim's outfit home with us.... kidding!
We had fun on the rides...
... and further proved boys will always be boys.
Kacy was a champ and pretty much did this the entire time - soliciting many smiles and googly eyes from strangers.
And, this is something I feel like I need a few times a week... Somewhere to go for parents who feel completely lost...

Good times!
