Bridger is 4!!
In December my big boy got even bigger when we celebrated his 4th birthday.
As is our tradition, we served him breakfast in bed. Kacy has not quite gotten the concept that the breakfast in bed is not for everyone - just the birthday boy. She was not too happy, until big brother graciously bestowed some of his sliced pears upon her demanding pointed finger.
Bridger was very excited and has been asking for months for a "CARS birthday".
We had many beloved friends and cousins come to attend our tour around Radiator Springs. When each guest arrived, they got to take a ride on B's new Radio Flyer cart complete with launching ramp (thanks Grandma Nancy). Then each friend received their 'headlights' (aka glow sticks) since we live in Oregon and it is dark outside by 4:30 pm.
Our next stop on our Radiator Springs tour was to "Mater's Tire Pull", where each guest got to make a Froot Loop & Licorice chain. We also played some new, hip, totally original games such as "Doc, Doc, Guido" and "Mater Says". The kids loved it and were great participants. We even got to "cruise" by turning off all the lights and letting the kids dance to the Cars soundtrack while twirling around their glow sticks. I think we just invented the first 4 year old disco.
Our next stop was to "Flo's V8 Cafe" for Cupcakes and Pirate's booty (picked out by Bridger). We ended the evening at "Lizzy's Curios Shop" where Bridger got to open his presents. Jim pulled me aside and informed me that I was saying "curious" instead of "curios". I have since learned the difference, but still believe that the curios shop was indeed curious, so I wasn't really wrong.

Chistmas- Part 1
"I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" and "Over the River and Through the Woods" don't really apply when we get to spend Christmas in AZ with my parents.
Growing up in AZ, means Christmas is in the 70s and sunny. It means being able to go outside and be comfortable.
I know some people love their snow in the winter, but I will take t-shirt weather in December any day.
We had a wonderful, relaxing time hiking, playing at the park, swimming and getting some wonderful Grandma and Grandpa attention.
Kacy pauses mid swing to "pound it" with Grandpa.
Bridger loved the suspense Grandma created before letting him fly.
