Disneyland!

They say it's the happiest place on Earth... I will save the reflection on an eternal perspective and give into the hype and excitement and say as a mother of small children looking for a fun family vacation it comes pretty darn close! We really had a great time going to Disneyland in February. Grandpa Don, Grandma Karen and Aunt Angela joined us for adventures in sunny California. We had such a fun, happy time, and it was wonderful to have some extra adult hands to help with the kids.

We met many characters: animals, superheros, princesses, and storybook people. "They are really real, Mom!"
We drove cars, trains, trams and rode many rides. Bridger could go on many of the faster rides - that was definately a highlight for him. Kacy enjoyed the slower, story-type rides, but the highlight for her was meeting real life princesses!

 Snow White!
 Pull!

Rapunzel!!! Need I say more? The characters were really awesome - they made this little girl feel so special. Rapunzel gave 5 whole minutes of undivided attention to my little girl talking about painting, Flynn Rider, hair and flowers - it was darling! (but no wonder those princess lines are so long!)
 It's a small world!
...and they lived happily ever after.

Princess Tianna and Jasmine
(Now we have to go back for Cars-land)

We ran into our friends from home!
 Mickey's farris wheel
 The mouse himself!
 Barbershop quartet
Jake the Neverland pirate - he is a boy, but also a pirate?! Come on Disney - follow your own storyline!
Watching the many wonders that surround us.

 Happy, tired kids!
It was Jim's first time to Disneyland!
Waving to the parade performers! I have to say I really loved the shows: the parades, the street performances, Aladdin the musical, the World of Color - they were all awesome! Disney really knows how to make you go "WOW!"
And finally ready to go home!

Kacy is 3!

Our Kacy girl turned 3 (in January)! For her breakfast in bed, she had KACY toast, berries, bacon and chocolate milk.

We had a Pinkalicious party for her, but on her big day she insisted on wearing her Dorothy outfit instead of her Pinkalicious costume (or any of her many pink princess dress ups for that matter).  Oh well, so much for a theme.

All her princesses are lined up watching her eat.
Kacy we love your 3 year old self! You love princesses, musicals (Mamma Mia being the favorite), anything pink or purple, cereal, dancing, singing, dressing up, make-up, and painting. You love your big brother and love to play house. You love being a princess and are strong willed. You are a sweet girl, but look out if anyone ever tries to get you to do something you don't want to do! We are excited to see you grow and hope you continue to be the sweet, happy girl we know and love.

Bridger turned 5

Bridger boy turned 5 (in December). We had a lot of fun to celebrate. His pancake breakfast in bed spelled out his name.

We had B's friends over for a "Cars 2" birthday party. Included fun games provided by dad, pizza, and a cake shaped into a "5".

We love our 5 year old boy! At this point in your life you love cars, trains, playing wii games, playing soccer, basketball, and t-ball. You love preschool, painting, legos and helping your mom. You love being a helper and showing all the hard things you can do. Your favorite friends are your sister, Kacy, Jacob & Claire, Annie, Carly, Avery and Kurt. You become more independant and free thinking everyday. You love figuring out a way to make everything go your way. Your little brother and sister love you and look up to you so much. We are glad you are our little man!
