Nick!

Jim had a great group of friends growing up. One of them was Nick, who happens to an the announcer for the Harlem Globetrotters. The Globetrotters were in town so we got some time to play with Nick (or in his words: "adopt a big kid") for a bit. Then he hooked us up with tickets to see the game and meet the players after the show. It was so fun! The kids loved how funny the players were and enjoyed "Globey" the mascot. Bridger has been dribbling his basketball he got signed ever since (which I love!).

We went to Hot Lips Pizza and Powell's bookstore.
Proved to Nick how cool we were by driving him around in our minivan.

Ate ice cream at Salt & Straw.
Watched the Globetrotters with the Jensen Family.

On the court after the game!

This guy was really tall. Notice how Jim only comes up to his shoulder.

Nick in action!

There is a female Globetrotter!! Woo hoo! Her name is "Mighty". Girl power!
Champions!

Having fun on the court!

Mommy date

We had an unusually warm day in February and I was in the mood to see some waterfalls. The kids were good sports and great hikers so got to choose where we went next. The decided they wanted to go to the zoo since we still had a few hours of daylight left. We got to see the baby elephant, Lily, born in November.

Bridger was our photographer for a while...

Lions Roar!

Hello tiger!

We were actually at the zoo the day Lily was born. Only recently did they allow visitors to see her.

Daddy date

Jim took the big kids to see Monster Trucks. They had a great time and thought it was super cool. It was a bit of a long show and Kacy fell asleep by the end.

Christmas in AZ- Sunshine!

One of the (many) reasons we love going to AZ for Christmas is for the very Christmasy activities of swimming, hiking, and mountain biking. Bridger is turning into quite the little fish and is swimming on his own. Aron and Kacy love the water too, and we spent many hours at the pool squeezing in the sun rays.

Mr. Bear

Bridger and his classroom bear... It is amazing how much all the kindergarteners love that bear! It is always a happy day when he has the chance to bring it home for the day.
