Last weekend we were fortunate enough to have Jared & Dani in town for a visit (and interview with Jim's company). Thank goodness it wasn't all business and we were able to have some fun hiking to Horsetail falls & Multnoma falls.
Bridger LOVED Jared. B was super affectionate and friendly toward him - immediately gave him hugs and cuddles. No stranger anxiety there. But, Who doesn't love the Jensens?
I was glad to have Dani around - even though she didn't have the twins with her, she didn't entirely get a break from kids and was a helpful pair of hands. There is something about a fellow mother - they just know what to do and how to help, without me even realizing I need/want help. Thanks Dani!
We also had a "Monte Cristo" party. For those of you who may not know what this is let me explain: Picture a ham, turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich, battered, deep fried, with a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top and dollop of jelly for dipping. We first discovered these sandwiches while living in Texas, but I would not recommend having more than one every 5 years or so and even then - only if you have no risk of coronary heart disease in your family.

P.S. We still have that leftover gallon of oil over here, so feel free to come and retrieve it. We certainly shouldn't be having any more fried stuff for a while here.

thanks for hosting the monte cristo party. despite the fatty content it was delicious. i think my track record is one sandwich every three years...so i'll be ready to go 2012. we'll come and get the oil, though i'm not certain what we'll be doing with it. how do you dispose of cooking oil?

Hey that is us!!! We had a good time! Hopefully our kids have a chance to be with your kids before too long... I think they would have so much fun together (and they could teach each other all of their naughty tricks).
