Girls Camp

This summer I had the opportunity to help lead our Stake 4th years hike.

We had 40 girls backpack into Silver falls and had several small hikes to see all the waterfalls over the 3 days/2 nights we had together.

We had beautiful weather in a beautiful place.

Some of these girls were very new to the backpacking/hiking/camping experience, but they all did the 12 miles we hiked and were great sports about it, too. They all grew, either by the physical challenge of doing something hard, or the spiritual challenge of helping, supporting and befriending their fellow girls they didn't know before.

All in all it was a great experience as a leader and I think the girls enjoyed the camping, too. I am grateful to know such wonderful, talented and virtuous young ladies.
